Three in a row as Joao snatches winner

Wednesday rode their luck to register three victories in a week with a last-gasp win at Brentford.

Atdhe Nuhiu put us in front from the penalty spot shortly before half time after being brought down by James Tarkowski, the Brentford defender receiving a harsh red card into the bargain.

It was as much as we deserved after dominating the opening 45 minutes against a lacklustre Bees outfit but the second half was a different story as the 10 men of Brentford took the game to Wednesday.

Alan Judge deservedly levelled on 75 minutes with a cracking finish and worse followed soon afterwards when Jeremy Helan was dimsissed for a second yellow card.

Brentford looked the more likely to take all three points but, with the game going into injury time, substitute Lucas Joao broke clear to fire home the winner for Wednesday.
