Wednesday completed a hat-trick of transfer deadline day signings with the arrival of Hamburg central defender David Bates on a season-long loan.
Bates, 22, signed for Hamburg from Rangers on a four-year contract last summer and has made 28 appearances for the Bundesliga 2 side.
He previously played for Raith Rovers, East Stirling and Brechin City and has four full Scotland caps, having earnt the first of these against Albania last November.
