Darren Moore hailed “three wonderful strikes” that took Wednesday into the third round of the Carabao Cup against Rochdale this evening.
Reacting to the trio of tremendous long-rangers from Jaden Brown, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and then Dennis Adeniran, Moore said: “They were three wonderful strikes in front of 9,000-plus fans.
“Overall, it was a solid display. I thought we gained control of the game really early doors. We settled down and moved the ball quite well in transitions.”
The only concern on the night was injuries to Ben Heneghan, Dele-Bashiru and Dominic Iorfa and the Owls boss said: “We think Iorfa and Fizz’s are knocks. Ben’s is muscular.
“Ben said he came off as a precaution. We will assess Dom and Fizz over the next 48 hours. Hopefully they won’t be too serious.”
