Henrik Pedersen was pleased with Wednesday’s overall display at Derby today … and spoke of the “amazing support” from the travelling 3000-plus fans at Pride Park,

Despite the 2-1 defeat, he said: “I think we competed really, really well. We started the game really well, we were really strong and organised.

“After going  1-0 down we came back strong in the game.

“The rest of the first half we were organised, had some good transition and then I think the second half was very equal.”

Talking about the non-stop backing from the supporters throughout the game, Pedersen said: “The fans are amazing. They just get better and better, they raise the bar higher and higher. What they bring to this club is something I have never seen before.

“Listening to the noise and atmosphere they created, it was like a home game for us. They did not stop.

“The players are flat out in the dressing room right now and they are so disappointed because they want to win for the fans so much.

“They are giving everything, week in, week out in the hardest of circumstances.

“It is the same for these fans, they are remarkable … just amazing.”
