Darren Moore was keeping his feet firmly on the ground after seeing Wednesday further cement our automatic promotion credentials with a single goal win over Fleetwood at S6 today.
After a 15th league game without defeat took us seven points clear of third-placed Ipswich and with the chance to top the league if we win at Cheltenham on Tuesday, Moore said: “That game was not the best, it was scrappy, there wasn’t a lot of incident but the important thing is we got the points, so we take the points and we move on.
“We go down to Cheltenham on Tuesday, we will assess the squad in the morning and hopefully there’s a clean bill of health.
“I can only control what’s happening internally, yes we are in a great position but there’s a long way to go and we have to keep our focus, keep our mentality and momentum.
“We want to get a better performance in terms of in possession on the ball on Tuesday but we don’t look elsewhere, we are just focussed on ourselves and try and stay consistent with our approach.”
