Henrik Pedersen again highlighted the connection between fans and players after another sellout Wednesday following backed the team at Stoke with non-stop singing throughout the 2-0 defeat this afternoon.
Pedersen said after the match: “You could feel after the game we were all a magnet to them because we want to go over and say thank you.
“We appreciate what they are doing and what we have together with them, because it’s special. Our fans are special.
“What they are doing is amazing and we would love to pay them back. Again, we’ll do everything on Monday to give them a top performance, where they can identify with the performance. We would love to give them a win again.”
Commenting on the match, Pedersen said: “We played a very strong defensive first half but we were not good enough on the ball.
“Second half we created much more. Of course, they had some transition moments, we expected this because they are one of the best transition teams in the league. But we have to be positive for the second half, how we played and how we kept on going. But of course, we have to make some more goals.”
