Well, what a great day that was in our efforts to help get Dejphon Chansiri to give up his ownership of Sheffield Wednesday … that’s OUR football club.

To see scores of London Owls, backed by the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters’ Trust and Wednesdayites from near and far, protesting in London against Chansiri was an incredible sight and showed the true spirit of our club.

We all have our own memories of following our beloved Owls over many years and today showed just what the club means to us all.

We wait to see what our efforts bring to the on-going attempts to drive Chansiri out of Hillsborough but there is no doubt that the support for today’s protest can only have helped the cause.

Thanks to you all for playing your part in this very special  day for the London Owls.

Thank you also to the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters’ Trust for their support, to chairman Colin Grant for all his help to get the excellent media support we have enjoyed and finally … a massive well done to Alan Burgess for all his hard work and organisational skills to bring about such a day on the streets of London.

To all London Owls, take a bow on a truly amazing day, one which will go down in our history and, hopefully, play its own part in saving OUR club.

We will be publishing more photos online tomorrow on the day we painted a corner of London blue and white … but mainly black and gold.

In the meantime, thanks and congratulations to you all.

And remember, WAWAW!
