Wednesday will be without injured pair Akin Famewo and Olaf Kobacki, along with the suspended Pol Valentin, for Tuesday evening’s Carabao Cup fourth round tie at Brentford.
Famewo was helped off the pitch at Portsmouth on Friday night with a muscle injury while Kobacki suffered a similar problem in training and could be sidelined for several weeks.
Valentin has picked up two bookings in previous ties and, under the rules of the competition, now receives a one-match ban as we look to overcome the Premier League Bees and win a place in the last eight.
Young keeper Pierce Charles has replaced James Beadle in previous rounds and Danny Rohl could select him again while, with another three-game Championship programme coming up, the manager is likely to rest some first-team regulars from our starting line-up.
If the game is all-square at the end of normal time then it will go straight to a penalty shootout.
