Tonight’s news of the halving of our 12-point deduction lifted us off the foot of the Championship table for some three hours … before Wycombe’s added time winner at Birmingham sent us back to bottom place.
However we now have five points and, after tonight’s other Championship results, only six points separate us from Blackburn in 17th place.
Derby are just one place and one point ahead of us, followed by Wycombe, who are now in 22nd on seven points.
