Selection decisions for Munoz ahead of trip to Hull

Xisco Munoz says that Michael Smith, Liam Palmer, George Byers, Akin Famewo and Michael Ihiekwe should all be fit to be considered for tomorrow’s trip to Hull City.

They were missing from the midweek Carabao Cup win over Stockport, Smith pulling out through illness while the others were rested, and Munoz now has to decide whether any of them get a place in tomorrow’s squad.

Munoz also has to choose between Cameron Dawson and Devis Vasquez in goal – the latter having signed on loan for the Owls at the start of the week, then making his debut against Stockport on Tuesday night and saving two spot kicks in the penalty shootout success.

Ex-Hull man Mallik Wilks looks unlikely to face his former club after his latest injury setback while question marks remain over Marvin Johnson as he has not been included in our two squads of the new season.

Hull lost 2-1 at Norwich in their season opener and went out of the Carabao Cup in midweek, losing by the same score in their tie at home to division two Doncaster Rovers.

*Meanwhile, our Carabao Cup round two tie at home to Mansfield has been confirmed for Tuesday, August 29, kick off 7.45pm.
