Danny Rohl highlighted Wednesday’s defensive deficiencies after our 3-1 defeat at Preston today.
It means we have conceded six goals in our last two games and the Owls boss said: “We have to have more clean sheets and defend as a team … we cannot come back from behind every week.
“We have to stop our easy mistakes. We gifted them too much today. I think the number of goals we concede at the second post, we have to step up.
“It’s about man-marking, looking at the ball, keeping the opponent with you and defending as a group, this is what we must improve.
“If you want to go high up in the table then you need to be more clinical in both boxes. That starts with defence and clean sheets … then you can attack and score.”
