Rohl wants to end season on 60-point mark

Danny Rohl is targeting 60 points for the season when we travel to Watford for our final game of the campaign tomorrow.

He said at Thursday’s press conference: “The two big goals we have for the weekend is to achieve a total of 60 points, that also means at minimum we would stay in our current position or, with a bit of luck, jump up one place. It would be great to finish the season in the top half of the table.”

With Wednesday sitting in 12th on 57 points, Rohl added: “We want to go one more, we want to take something and the most important thing is that our focus is on this final game.”

When asked again about his future at Wednesday following weeks of speculation, the manager said: “Let’s finish this season with the last game on Saturday. Then I will speak again with the club and see in which direction it goes. At the moment I’d say it is open.”

With regard to team selection, Rohl said Stuart Armstrong is an injury doubt while Anthony Musaba may miss the game as he has become a dad this week and has not trained in recent days.

Akin Famewo is still ruled out while Dominic Iorfa is back in training.

Rohl said: “This is a normal game, not so many changes or gifts, we will play the best and strongest team who deserve to play.”

Watford are one place and one point behind us before the game, which is a 12.30pm kick off.
