Wednesday this afternoon confirmed that all staff and players have been paid on time.
After months of late wages under the now departed Dejphon Chansiri, payments were actually made one day early and the club said: “This marks a major step forward in stabilising the club’s operations and rebuilding trust both internally and with our supporters.
“We couldn’t have achieved this without the incredible backing of you Wednesdayites.
“Your return to Hillsborough, the surge in merchandise and ticket sales, and your continued belief in the club have made this possible.
“We also want to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us over recent weeks in getting these wages paid.
“And, of course, our fans, staff and players, whose commitment and resilience have kept Sheffield Wednesday moving forward through incredibly difficult circumstances.
“Now we look forward to Blue & White Night, when we host Norwich City at Hillsborough on Wednesday November 5.
”It’s more than just a game – it’s a celebration of everyone who has stood by this club.
“Turnstiles open two hours before kick-off, with a Pie & Pint offer for £5 until 6:30 pm, plus music, family fun and a full pre-match atmosphere inside the ground.
“Let’s fill the stands and make this Bonfire Night one to remember.”
