Henrik Pedersen is pleased with the progress of fitness levels of his players as Wednesday prepare to kick off life back in League One tomorrow at Leyton Orient.

In his media press conference today, Pedersen said: “Everyone has trained today at different levels.

“Everything is going in the right direction for the whole squad in terms of fitness. It’s positive, and let’s see for tomorrow.”

Louie Barry and Billy Mitchell have both trained well this week although, after last Saturday’s encouraging Carabao Cup win over Bolton, Pedersen is unlikely to rush into making many, if any, changes to the starting line-up.

We will be backed by a sellout away crowd of 1,250 and with a familiar name to many in the dugout, former Owls winger Matt Hamshaw having joined as a first-team coach under Pedersen.

Hamshaw made 88 appearances for Wednesday between 1999 and 2005.

His previous coaching career saw him at Rotherham and then Derby before he returned to the Millers as manager, initially on a temporary basis.
