Owls well beaten in away day flop

Wednesday’s lacklustre performance got just what it deserved – no points – at Brentford on Saturday afternoon.

The home side, without showing their best form, ran out comfortable winners against an Owls outfit which never looked like getting anything from the game.

Goals from Lasse Vibe and Florian Jozefzoon in either half were enough to see off a Wednesday side who finished well beaten and showed the size of the tack facing Carlos Carvalhal’s successor in the way ahead.

The defeat leaves us 11 points from the play-offs but, mote worringly, only eight points from the relegation places.
