Wednesday will wait to see if Liam Palmer recovers from a back problem for Saturday’s game at Preston.
Palmer, who has continued his upturn in form from last season, missed Tuesday evening’s home win over Luton because of back spasms and was replaced by Morgan Fox at left back.
