Pierce Charles played the opening half for Northern Ireland in their 1-0 friendly win over Guinea on Thursday evening and they take on World Cup-bound France in another friendly in Lille on Monday night.

Will Grainger came on for the second 45 minutes as Wales under-19s defeated Qatar 2-0 in a friendly in Valencia yesterday.

The squad now face Sweden in a second friendly on Monday as they prepare to host the under-19s Euros, which begin on June 28.

Yan Valery, currently on loan with Young Boys in Switzerland, was an unused sub in Tunisia’s 5-0 World Cup warm-up defeat to Belgium in Brussels today.

However, he played the full 90 minutes in a previous 1-0 friendly loss to Austria.
