Darren Moore is looking for today’s 4-2 win over Plymouth to be the launch pad for Wednesday to go on another unbeaten run in our bid to make an instant return to the Championship.
Two successive losses over the Christmas and New Year period ended our 12-match undefeated sequence but after the convincing win over the Pilgrims, Moore said: “We want to get that consistency back. I have said to the players that we have tasted what it is like to go on a winning run and that momentum. We have to build it again.”
The victory takes us to within three points of a play-off position and Moore added: “The most pleasing thing for me was to see a game plan implemented from start to finish. We stayed on course for the duration of the game.
“They scored a terrific free kick – take nothing away from it, fair play. But the big thing was the response from the team. It didn’t jolt us one bit.”
