Moore on half-time words … top two chances … Windass return

Darren Moore talked of ‘words being said at half time’ after Wednesday’s victory over Exeter.

Reflecting on our lifeless first-half showing, Moore said: ““We had words at half time, all of us as a group, because it was a bit of a nothing performance in that first half.”

He added: “The result was the most important thing today and we got that. It was all about the win and the boys showed character, togetherness and unity to come back and win the game.

“The goal that Exeter scored straight after half time also sparked us into life really and when we got the first goal I had no doubt we would get the second.

“While it’s mathematically possible we will continue to go after automatic promotion.”

Moore added that Josh Windass will return to training on the grass next week after his lengthy injury lay-off, as he continues his recovery.
