Moore looks for injury boost ahead of Morecambe game

Darren Moore will be hoping to name a stronger squad for tonight’s visit of struggling Morecambe as Wednesday face the first of two home games in five days in our on-going division one promotion push.

Lee Gregory (tonsilitis), Jack Hunt (dead leg), Mallik Wilks (calf) and Reece James (ankle) missed the Ipswich match on Saturday. Moore said he had been hoping to have them all in the squad to face the Tractor Boys but is hoping that at least some of the quartet will be available for this evening.

We go into the Morecambe clash on a 17-match unbeaten league run, sitting two points behind leaders Plymouth but with a game in hand, with Ipswich six points behind us in third and having played a game more than the Owls. Bolton are now on level points with Ipswich but we have two games in hand on them.

While we entertain Morecambe, Plymouth are at Oxford tonight, Ipswich travel to Bristol Rovers and Bolton entertain MK Dons.

After the Morecambe game, we are back at S6 on Saturday to take on MK Dons, another side battling against relegation.
