Garry Monk was pleased with Wednesday’s performance in today’s 0-0 friendly draw with Leicester City at Loughborough.
The Owls manager said afterwards: “Leicester came to us at full strength, it was a really good test for us and I thought we did really well.
“We grew stronger and stronger as the game went on.
“There were a lot of positives for us to take out of the game. Overall, it was the structure I wanted to see, with and without the ball, and I thought we played with a really good intensity.”
Monk said the game rounded off what he had been a really good training week for the squad at the Loughborough University complex. He said the plan is to make the squad a more dynamic one and, while there is still a lot of work to do, feels he can already see signs of that developing.
