Yan Valery appears to be ruled out of our televised home game with Derby on Monday evening, following confirmation of his selection for the Tunisia squad to compete in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations later this month.

Tunisia have reportedly rejected Wednesday’s request for Valery to delay his departure by a day, to allow him to play against the Rams, meaning another selection blow for head coach Henrik Pedersen.

However, reports also indicate that Zimbabwe will allow Sean Fusire to link up with their AFCON squad after the Derby County game.

It’s a second reprieve for Fusire to be able to face County. He was booked at Watford on Tuesday in the incident leading to the home side’s penalty, also receiving his fifth yellow card of the season which would have seen him suspended for the Championship game.

However, it has since been confirmed that it was Liam Palmer who committed the foul, so freeing up Fusire for Monday’s match.

The AFCON competition takes place in Morocco and runs from December 21-January 18.
