Gary Megson has to decide whether to change his line-up for Saturday’s home game with Hartlepool after last weekend’s S6 defeat to league leaders Charlton.
That reverse stretched Charlton’s lead over us to eight points and we need to bounce back with three points against the Pools to keep ourselves in the promotion shake-up – while Charlton face Sheff U at the Valley on the same day.
Megson will need to make at least one change, with Ben Marshall having returned to Stoke after his loan spell. Gary Madine returned last week after a lengthy lay-off but looked off the pace and was substituted during the second half, while new signing Mike Jones was also taken off after not surprisingly struggling to find his feet on his debut in such a big game.
Now Megson needs to decide whether to stick with Madine and Jones or consider starting with Ryan Lowe, while Jermaine Johnson could come into contention for a starting place after missing out in the squad for the Charlton game.
