Gary Megson has confirmed he is interested in Swansea midfielder Ferrie Bodde.
He said: “I tried to sign Ferrie quite a few years ago when I was at Bolton. At that time he had really bad luck with cruciate problems and he’s been out for a long time.
“He’s a really good player but I don’t know if anything will come off. It’s early days yet but it’s certainly something I would be interested in.”
Megson indicated that he could be speaking to Swans boss Brendan Rogers about a possible move for Bodde. If it was to move forward then it would probably be a loan arrangement – the window for full transfers and half-season loans closes next Tuesday but the market for emergency loans opens again the following week.
Bodde, 29, is a former Dutch under-23 international and joined Swansea from Den Haag in 2007. However, injuries have restricted his appearances to just 54 ganes during that time and he has not made a first team appearance for two seasons.
