Max Lowe is expected to return to the Wednesday squad at Hull tomorrow after three months on the sidelines.

Lowe has been out since getting injured in the defeat at Ipswich just before Christmas but Henrik Pedersen said today that the defender is ready for action against the play-off chasing Tigers who are in fifth place before tomorrow’s fixtures

The Owls boss said there are no new injury concerns and on Lowe’s return added: “It is fantastic that Max is back, he has been a very important part of our squad in recent years and is a real asset for the back line.”

Wednesday will again be backed by a sellout following, with 2,300 fans following the team to Hull, while Pedersen also confirmed that Sean Fusire will be available for selection after withdrawing from the Zimbabwe squad for personal reasons, having previously been selected for their games during the international break.

Back on the injury front, Pedersen said that long-term casualties Di’Shon Bernard and Ernie Weaver are not expected to play again this season but that young striker George Brown is expected to make his return by playing part of the under-21s game against Leicester next week.

*Our visit to Middlesbrough has been put back 24 hours and will now be played on Wednesday April 22, still kicking off at 7.45pm. This is because Boro’s game against Ipswich has been selected for live broadcast on the previous Sunday.

Meanwhile, Owls loanee Joel Ndala has been called up for the England under-20s to face Italy in Rome on March 27, kick off 3.30pm GMT.
