Manager’s verdict on eighth Championship game without a win

Manager Xisco Munoz reflected on his Wednesday side not taking their chances in  our 3-0 defeat at Swansea today.

After a reverse that saw the Owls drop to the foot of the table and still looking for a first Championship win in eight matches, he said: “It is so disappointing because at the beginning we were the better team. We took the game to Swansea but their penalty changed the game.

“After that we still had chances but did not have the capacity in the final third to change the situation. We hit the crossbar and, if that was a goal, we would be talking about a different outcome for sure.

“We created chances, we got crosses into the box but Swansea took their chances and we did not.”
