Gary Madine is to return to Wednesday when his loan spell at Coventry ends this week.
Madine, who missed a penalty for City against Yeovil on Saturday, has scored four goals in 13 games at the Ricoh and has hinted that he would like to stay at Coventry.
However, Stuart Gray said today that Madine’s 93-day loan cannot be extended and that Coventry had not been in touch with regard to a possible permanent move. He added: “Gary Madine is coming back. His loan deal comes to an end this week and he will come back fitter with goals under his belt.”
