Wednesday have today confirmed the seven-day emergency loan signing of keeper Joe Lumley from Bristol City.

With no available senior keeper, we have been given clearance by the EFL to bring Lumley to Hillsborough on a week’s stay basis and he will play in the home game against former club, Middlesbrough, tomorrow evening.

Current loan keeper Ethan Horvath received a one-match ban after being red-carded at Charlton on Saturday, while injured Pierce Charles is a long-term absentee.

Lumley, 30, has 152 Championship appearances to his name and played two Carabao Cup games for Bristol City earlier this season.

We also wait for an injury update on Dominic Iorfa who had to leave the field at Charlton on Saturday with what looked to be a back injury.

Henrik Pedersen said after the defeat at the Valley: “It’s difficult to say now, but it was like a dead leg on his hip. We hope it is not too serious.”
