Looking for revenge after Cottage collapse

Wednesday will be aiming to avenge a 4-0 thrashing at Fulham back in December when the struggling Londoners come to Hillsborough on Saturday.

Stuart Gray felt we had the better of the game at Craven Cottage before they went ahead on 34 minutes, but he reflected today: “In the end we let ourselves down with the result. One thing I want on Saturday is a performance but I want three points as well.”

He added: “The most important thing is we can’t wait until the second half to get started. We have to come out of the traps from the first minute, get in their faces … closing them down and putting them under pressure.”

The Owls go into the game knowing that a 17th clean sheet of the season would be a club record while Gray says of the run-in to the end of the campaign: “Our challenge is to finish higher than last season. And our challenge, until it is mathematically impossible, is to go for that sixth place and the play-offs.”
