The presentation of the London Owls Player of the Year award was made to Michail Antonio prior to last Saturday’s crucial final game of the season at Hillsborough.
London Owls chairman Colin Grant and his son, Christopher, presented the award to Michail on the pitch before kick off against Middlesbrough. The winger took first place ahead of ever-present Chris Kirkland, followed by Anthony Gardner and Reda Johnson.
Michail, who has been sidelined since March with a groin injury, said he was delighted to receive the award. He added that his fitness is now improving and that he had started jogging again last week.
Thanks to everyone who cast their vote, thanks to the club for allowing us to make the presentation on the pitch before the game and, finally, well done once again to Michail on winning the award.
