Loan signings James Beadle and Ike Ugbo could be in the Wednesday squad for tomorrow’s tough challenge at in-form Southampton.
Keeper Beadle and striker Ugbo may well make Danny Rohl’s 20-man group to face the Saints and defender Bambo Diaby is available again following his three-match ban.
George Byers has to sit out one more game after his suspension while Callum Paterson continues to recover from his concussion injury sustained at Coventry on Boxing Day and is doubtful to return at St Mary’s.
For Wednesday boss Rohl, it will be a return to the club where he was once assistant manager and he faces a Southampton side unbeaten in their last 18 league games.
We are also one of the in-form teams in the division, with five wins in our last eight league outings, and know that victory at Southampton – combined with defeat for Huddersfield at home to Plymouth – would take us out of the bottom three.
