Tom Lees is again ruled out through injury for Saturday’s home game with Hull.
Lees saw a specialist this week after missing last weekend’s trip to Reading with a groin problem and is awaiting the result of tests. However, Carlos Carvalhal confirmed Lees is not in contention for the Hull match and Joost van Aken is likely to continue to deputise.
Of the long-term injury casualties, Sam Hutchinson is expected to be ready to return by the end of the year following his knee operation and George Boyd should be fit for action by early in January after having surgery on his shoulder injury.
