Swansea boss Michael Laudrup has confirmed that Wednesday target Leroy Lita is likely to leave the Liberty Stadium in the near future.
Lita was named in the Swans’ Premier League squad of 25 at the start of the season but Laudrup has made it clear that he does not figure in his long-term plans and the manager has now said: “Leroy really wants to play regularly and I can’t guarantee him the chance to do that here.
“We always try to help players, and I think it’s best for him to go on loan somewhere. I think in a short period of time, we will know the future club of Leroy.”
Lita had a largely successful spell on loan at Hillsborough last season, scoring six goals in 17 appearances after joining us in January, and Dave Jones has voiced his interest in getting the player back to S6 this season.
Whether Lita returns to Wednesday in the coming days remains to be seen …
