Marvin Johnson could face a ban after bring charged by the Football Association following an off-the-ball incident in Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Ipswich.
The clash with the home side’s Wes Burns saw the referee award a penalty to the Tractor Boys, after a linesman brought the incident to his attention, and now the FA has released a statement which reads: “Sheffield Wednesday’s Marvin Johnson has been charged following an incident in their EFL League One game against Ipswich Town on Saturday 11 February.
“It’s alleged that the forward’s conduct during the 16th minute was improper and/or violent, and he has until Monday 20 February to provide a response.”
