It’s ‘must-win’ night for Owls at Rovers

Wednesday take our fading division one automatic promotion hopes to Bristol Rovers tomorrow evening and knowing that we need to win all four remaining matches to realistically have any chance of making the top two.

A disastrous run of one victory in eight games sees us back in third on 84 points from 42 matches, one point behind second-placed Ipswich and trailing leaders Plymouth by a further point – both of them also having a game in hand.

Fourth-placed Barnsley are three points behind us but have also played a game less.

While we go to mid-table Rovers tomorrow evening, Plymouth are at Shrewsbury, Ipswich entertain Port Vale and Barnsley travel to Lincoln.

Darren Moore was critical of Wednesday’s dismal showing at Burton on Saturday and may well look to make changes, although he is hampered by an on-going lengthy injury list.
