Wednesday took a first home point of the season in a 1-1 draw with in-form QPR.

Dominic Iorfa headed us in front on the half-hour mark from Barry Bannan’s free kick.

The visitors equalised just after half time when Bailey Cadamarterii was penalised for handball in the box and Nicolas Madsen scored from the spot.

Both sides had opportunities to take all three pints but we  could look back on an improved Hillsborough performance that also brought a first home Chamipionshio goal of the campaign.

The draw takes us onto five points and leaves the Owls in 23rd place.

Henrik Pedersen said afterwards: “Defensively we were very solid, with good discipline.

“Altogether, it was a strong home game.

“We have showed we can compete with teams and the boys showed a big, big mentality.”
