Jos Luhukay saluted the efforts of his players following Wednesday’s third successive victory.
Speaking after the 3-1 win at Sunderland, Luhukay said: “I am proud of the team.
“It was 90 minutes of hard work and we are in good shape at the moment.”
He added: “We have said that we need to finish the season as best as we can.
“We are in a good way, and we need to keep fighting if we want to finish the season in a positive way.
“We have some hard games coming up but some good momentum.”
Luhukay talked of the excellent team spirit in the squad, with every0ne supporting each other, and said he believes the success of strike duo Atdhe Nuhiu and Lucas Joao since his arrival has been helped by “the trust and respect they have received from day one” from him and his backroom staff.
