Julian Bennett says he is ok after being stretchered off during Wednesday’s FA Cup third round win over West Ham.
Bennett clashed heads with team-mate Clinton Morrison during the second half, receiving lengthy on-field treatment and then being carried off, leading to 11 minutes of injury time.
However Bennett tweeted on Sunday evening: ‘I’m all good everyone. Just had seven stitches in my lip and all clear on my head scan. UTO’.
Gary Megson said of Wednesday’s win: “I thought it was a good performance. Not the best we have played this season but still a good performance.”
He had particular praise for matchwinner Chris O’Grady and keeper Nicky Weaver, who saved a penalty, saying: “I thought Chris was terrific today. I’ve been really pleased with his perfomances recently, he just needed a goal and today he got it.
“Nicky produced a great save from the penalty.”
