Alex Hunt has left Wednesday to join division two Grimsby Town for an undisclosed fee.
Hunt rose through the Hillsborough academy and signed his first professional contract in 2018, making 17 first-team appearances for the Owls.
The 22-year-old was on loan at Grimsby and Oldham last season and now rejoins the Mariners on a permanent basis.
