Stuart Gray has spoken of his delight at the chance to take on Premier League champions Mancheser City in the Capital One Cup … but then switched his attentions straight back to Saturday’s league clash with Nottingham Forest.
Gray told the club website: “I would have liked a home game like any manager does in cup competitions – but if you are drawn away then it doesn’t get much better than a trip to Manchester City.
“It will be a great test for the players against the current Premier League champions and League Cup holders.
“It’s an exciting tie for our supporters too, who follow us all over the country in such terrific numbers.”
However, Gray was quick to re-focus on the Forest clash, saying: “For now the City game is on the back burner because our bread and butter is the Championship.
“We’ve made an excellent start to the season but have achieved nothing yet. We have to maintain this level week in, week out and all I am focusing on is the next game, which is Nottingham Forest on Saturday.”
