Stuart Gray was pleased with the Wednesday performance at Bolton but left bitterly disappointed not to have gained another three points after the 0-0 draw.
The stats showed we had 24 shots – but just four on target – and Gray said afterwards: “I’m disappointed because we’ve come here and totally bossed the game.”
He said he was surprised to see Stevie May’s first-half effort ruled out but said we created enough other chances to have won the game.
The head coach added: “We are performing well and creating chances. If we keep playing this way then some team will suffer.”
Everton loanee Hallam Hope was left out of the squad after suffering a hamstring injury in training.
