Fernando Forestieri limped out of Wednesday’s win over Fulham at half-time after suffering what is understood to be a slight hamstring injury.
Carlos Carvalhal confirmed that Forestieri, who opened the scoring for the Owls, had been withdrawn at the interval because of the problem. He added that the striker is ruled out of the Capital One Cup tie at Newcastle on Wednesday because he has already played for Watford in this season’s competition.
