Fernando Forestieri could be ruled out for at least six weeks after limping off in the closing minutes at Blackburn on Saturday.
Reports indicate that scans have shown he pulled a hamstring after coming on as a second-half substitute at Ewood Park and it’s a blow for both player and club as he had only just returned to action from a hamstring problem suffered in early October, keeping him out for seven weeks.
Now, with the busy Christmas and New Year schedule fast approaching, Forestieri may well miss up to a further 10 matches … provided his recuperation goes to plan.
