Wednesday moved back to the edge of the Championship play-off positions with a one-goal win at high-flying Huddersfield today.
Fernando Forestieri’s second-half penalty sealed the points after Tom Lees’ shot was handled and takes us to 20 points – behind Bristol City and Birmingham in fifth and sixth spots respectively only on goal difference.
Forestieri almost put us ahead minutes before the penalty when his shot came back off a post and David Jones had clipped the crossbar in the first half.
It was a disciplined performance from the Owls and we restricted the home side to few clearcut openings.
Carlos Carvalhal said immediately afterwards-off: “We are in a good way, the players have discovered the heart of the team
“We had clear chances to score goals and there was some fantastic teamwork.”
