Akin Famewo is the latest ex-Wednesday player to pen a farewell to the club.

The defender was offered a new contract at the end of last season but is expected to join Hull City and in a goodbye message to the club he said: “I want to say a massive thank you to the staff, players and supporters,

“I’m proud to have represented the club over the last three years and have loved every minute of it. I wish you all nothing but the best in the future, it’s what the club deserves.

“Thank you for your support over the years, it has been outstanding. I leave with fondness and gratitude. Thank you, Owls.”
