Defender ruled out for rest of season

Jack Hunt has been ruled out of Wednesday’s final two games of the season through injury.

He limped off with a knee problem during last Saturday’s win over Reading and Jos Luhukay has confirmed the defender will miss Saturday’s trip to Wolves and the season’s finale at home to Norwich a week on Sunday.

However, Luhukay added that it is not too serious an injury and that Hunt should have recovered within a month.

The Owls boss has also reaffirmed that Cameron Dawson will be in goal for the last two league matches after making his Championship debut for the season against Reading last weekend.

Luhukay says it is no slight on Joe Wildsmith but he wants to give Dawson the opportunity to test himself in the Championship after his previous first team appearances this season have been restricted to four FA Cup ties.
