Cooper began his career at Hull before moving to Chesterfield where he helped them to the Division Two title in 2014, also earning him a move to Elland Road.
He went on to become captain at Leeds and was part of the squad that won promotion to the Premier League in 2020, spending three years in the top division while also making the Scotland squad for the Euros in 2020 and 2024.
Cooper then moved to Bulgaria in 2024 to link up with CSKA and now joins Wednesday until the end of the campaign.
