Danny Rohl was happy with Wednesday’s overall performance but reflected on missed chances after we were held to a 1-1 draw by lowly Cardiff.
After dominating the match but seeing just three shots on target from 16 efforts, the Owls boss said: “We tried everything to win this game. We created more chances, had more ball possession and set-pieces … all the things you need to win.
“All these games are tight and we’ve had chances to win them. We have to work on it. We also conceded a goal that wasn’t necessary in the situation.”
He added: “I had the feeling that if we had made it 2-1 then we would have won the game comfortably.
“But it will come. I am happy with my players and what they are showing, it is now about going to the next level.“
Today’s point keeps us in 15th place in the Championship with 19 points from 16 games.
