Danny Rohl was happier with the Owls’ performance at home to Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday evening … despite the 1-0 defeat.
Rohl was highly critical of the team’s S6 display in the 1-1 draw with Preston on Saturday but said after the loss to Rovers: “Against Preston we didn’t deserve anything but took a point. Tonight we deserved a point and didn’t get anything.”
He added: “It is about being clinical in both boxes and we did not have that. To land that one big punch, to take that final big step, is huge and it is the difference.
“We were much better overall compared to the Preston game, the counter pressing, the work with and without the ball but we know what was missing
“Blackburn were organised, a functional team. They get one situation and they score.”
