Danny Rohl has confirmed he will make several changes for our Carabao Cup first round tie at Hull City on Wednesday evening.
The Owls boss said after Sunday’s 4-0 Championship opener thumping of Plymouth that he will give an opportunity to others in the squad to start against a Hull side who began their league season with a 1-1 home draw with Bristol City on Saturday.
Latest signing Ike Ugbo missed the chance of joining the squad against Plymouth as Wednesday could not get clearance through in time from the French league for the striker to be considered and we wait to see if the paperwork is completed in time for the cup clash.
The tie is a sellout for the travelling 2,300 Wednesday fans but will also be screened on the new Sky Sports+ channel.
If the scores are level at the end of normal time then it will go straight to a penalty shootout, with the second round draw taking place on Sky Sports after the conclusion of the televised Leeds-Middlesbrough clash.
